Steve's wife gave him the latest run green boiler K-28 for Christmas.

02/22/2003

Steve recently reworked an Overland K-36 into a green boiler #488.

02/22/2003

After all of Steve's work, the Overland runs at least as well as a PBL.  Note the polished brass bell.

02/22/2003

This angle shows the "chunky" look of this model very well.  Also note the realistic look of the headlight.

02/22/2003

Note the brass door handle on the doghouse as well as the cab curtains.

02/22/2003

Here #488 sits across a grade crossing in Chama, in front of the enginehouse.

02/22/2003

In addition to Steve's excellent cab curtains, the interior cab lights are even in the correct prototypical location.

The locomotive maintenance is terrible at Steve's; every time I visit #268 looks dirtier and more dilapidated.

#476 has a new paint job, but she is still hiding in the Chama yard.

#268 pauses for a drink.

#486 peeks out from behind a stock car and a caboose at the Chama coaling tower.

Our intrepid photographer has climbed up something to get a better angle on the running gear, but the light pole is still in the way.

#268 no longer looks as shiny as she did before.  The weathering department has been busy.
