I recently finished construction on and moved into my new house, which includes an 18x39 train room. There are a couple of challenges with the room, particularly the stairs at one end and the sloped ceilings.
The article photos are from Model Railroader, April '94. It represents the Chili Line, which I know Steve Amitrano is very fond of. I like the mountains and timber, the Chili Line is mostly low scrub, there is an opportunity to do a lumber branch to La Madera (top left) where I'm thinking of double decking this part into the center island. The hidden reversing loops will have to be reversed and I thought I might run hidden staging right over the stairwell.
At present I am waiting on delivery of some K-28's for motive power.
